White Farm on Route 40,
1/2 west of Sunset Beach Swimming Pool (about 3 miles east of
Claysville PA) Farm house is to the right out of the picture.
About
1/3 down from top of page
in both pictures is shown the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad track
which supported the then running B & O railroad that ran between
Washington and Claysville PA. It continued west (left) from here
about 1/4 mile, crossed under Route 40 to the southern side and on into
Claysville PA.. .

White Farm (same location
--1/3 down from top and center of photo is the original
farmhouse).
Baltimore and Ohio Railroad track can be seen in this
photo as well. The road that appears as a driveway coming toward
the photographer leads up towards Route 40 (Old National Pike) which is
still in use today. |
Photo
above was taken by this
web master in June 2007.
(I live nearby) There is a new
house being built
on the old location but as you can see, the foliage is so thick now
that almost nothing is visible from Route 40. |
